Scope of support

Psychological opinions

I prepare written psychological opinions for children and adolescents. An opinion follows a conversation with the parents or guardians, a meeting with the child and, where needed, assessment with standardised instruments. I also take into account the documentation parents bring: earlier opinions, certificates, information from the school or nursery. The document describes how the child is functioning, their strengths and the areas that need support, and closes with specific recommendations. We agree the scope and purpose of the opinion at the outset, so that the document answers the question you actually came with.
